This little painting was created on location in the beautiful village of Barga in Tuscany, Italy.
From my viewpoint in the shade of the grape vines, I could see in the distance on the hill, beyond the Cyprus trees, the church of San Cristoforno of Barga. The vibrancy of the green vine leaves and the hot landscape beyond inspired my vivid colour palate.
